First I would like to thank the entire Library 2.0 team for the education.
Admittedly, there was a lot of things that we touched upon that not only I would never look at again but I really can't understand why people would dedicate so much time to them.
That said, there were a couple of things you guys turned me on to that I will continue using and adapting to my online/computer experience.
However, you will earn my continued gratitude the next time I speak with some tech saavy 21 year old and am at least able to nod in recognition of some of the programs/applications trends touched upon over the last few weeks.
It will be a nice change from my ususal blank stares when these topics come up.

Week 11: Browser Tools
Firefox rocks.
I had loaded it up at home (to apply online for a job here at Mac actually) and have rarely used it since. Old habits with explorer die hard I guess.
For week 11's assignment, I have been using Firefox for different things and really do find that it makes my browsing experience...easier. I can't quite say exactly what it is that I prefer about it yet...but it just seems to be more erganomic...if that's possible with a computer program.
That said. I downloaded and added 2 add ons. I added FoxyTunes and My Image Here. The Foxytunes one reminded me of week 8's "Last FM" experience. I'm not entirely sure what the add on added on but it did turn me onto another interesting music resource. The other add on "My Image Here" is supposed to replace images on websites with images of my choosing. I thought that might be entertaining. To date, I haven't figrued out how to make it work. I have not given up.

Week 10 - video games
Well this week's assignment was a nice trip down memory lane. I spent some time playing the games of my youth and learning some card games that I had never played before.
However if I was to spend my precious down time playing video games, my natural interest lean towards MMORPGs. That said, I'd rather not spend my down time in front of a computer (when I do so much work in front of one) learning the ins and outs of a game in order to get good at it.
Video games are simply not for me at this point in my life.

Week 9: online social networks
Howdy,
Okay...My Space. A practical tool. Especially if you have an agenda or something to sell and are not there just to socialize. Versetile as well as it can accomodate a variety of audio and video functions. It is taking time to set up. A work in progress.
Facebook. I set it up and I have a friend. A novelty but I can see that wearing off and myself going back to talking to and email friends directly.
